|
The purpose of this Deed Project was to assist The Dezman Fleury Foundation complete the construction of a medical clinic in Leogane, Haiti. The clinic project began in the spring of 2004. With some donations made by the First United Methodist Church of Coral Springs, FL and others, the basic structure was raised. However, funds ran out and much needed to be done before this project could become a reality.
Your generous and loving contribution made it possible for Deeds of Love to provide The Dezman Fleury Foundation with the funds required to complete construction. In addition to the $5,000 raised, Deeds of Love also secured matching funds from the Missions Team of the First United Methodist Church of Coral Springs, FL, bringing the total amount donated to $10,000. Without your help, this wonderful “deed” would not have been possible.
The primary benefactors of this clinic are the 37 girls that live in the orphanage supported by the Foundation. However, countless residents of this impoverished community will also benefit from it. This project was definitely an opportunity where we expressed our Christian faith through an awesome act of compassion!
