"Then the righteous will answer him, 'Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you something to drink? When did we see you a stranger and invite you in, or needing clothes and clothe you? When did we see you sick or in prison and go to visit you?' "The King will reply, 'I tell you the truth, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers of mine, you did for me.' Matthew 25:37-40

Deed Project Proposal
Girls' Home Construction
La Libertad, El Salvador
Fall 2011
Because of the generous help from brothers and sisters from a church here in the United States, Hogar Remar was able to begin construction to replace an old and dilapidated house that was housing 20 girls from ages 6 to 16. The roof on this house was leaking severely, termites were destroying the interior walls, and the electrical circuitry was reaching an unsafe condition. Furthermore, because of the age of the house, shower and toilet facilities were not sufficient to support the increased demand.
With the contributions previously received, construction began. To reduce costs, the builders sought to take advantage of walls, floor and other parts of the house that could be salvaged. As you can see from the pictures below, the new home was built around the old one (notice the new cinder blocks assembled around old bricks). Many materials like tiles, doors, and paint are at hand and will be installed as soon as the construction phase allows it. Unfortunately, the donations ran short and funding is needed to install the roof and purchase the windows at an estimated cost of $5,800. That's our goal, to provide funding to complete what's needed to get the roof and the windows.
With the new facilities, Hogar Remar will be able to house 32 girls instead of the 20; this is a significant increase for a Home whose services are so desperately needed.
Please help us do our mission work for the Lord's glory.
Deed Project Summary
Girls' Home Construction
La Libertad, El Salvador
Fall/Winter 2011
A heartfelt thank you to our friends for their contributions and prayers. The roof on the old dilapidated house under reconstruction at Hogar Remar has been installed and the rebuilding project is almost complete. Below you can see pictures of the roof right after it was set in place. The reconstruction and expansion of this house was desperately needed and will allow for improved standards of living and a greater number of beds. Hogar Remar continues to expand everywhere it can, as the housing needs for orphans in La Libertad continue to exceed the available resources at Remar and throughout El Salvador.
As soon as pictures of the completed project become available we will add them to this page.
Thanks again for your support. God bless you.
